Fritay

"Fritay" or "fritaille" is the haitian term for certain foods that are fried.
Fritay usually includes:
griot (fried pork)
tassot (fried beef)
banan peze (fried pressed plantains)
saucisse (fried sausages)
acra (fried cassava -- root vegetable)

Fritay is served with pikliz, which is a spicy mixture of chopped cabbage, carrots and other vegetables.

In haiti, fritay is sold on the streets. In the US in areas where there are large Haitian populations, there are restaurants that only sell fritay
